Suspending a moment in time.

Most essential oils are cheaply produced, and use harmful chemicals to keep ingredients ‘fresh;’ however, Caligo is completely transparent with their premium ingredients. While the competition is cheaper, they provide a completely ethical and quality product that smells amazing.

Challenge

Each time that customers buy or open their box of essential oils, they feel like they are a part of something special. It’s not just essential oils to them, it’s a moment in time spent on themselves amongst the chaos of their busy life.

Solution

Caligo needed a delicate font and color scheme that showed the femininity of the product, while also being strong enough to prove that it’s the most sophisticated brand of essential oils. I avoided aggressive colors, childish fonts/colors, and made custom sophisticated imagery, not cartoony or cheap. I modeled the aesthetic after copper engravings and old maps.
